Back to: Home Page Redondo Beach City Council honors Kristina Ripatti with the Key to City and awards Proclamations to Cornerstone Construction Group and over 35 donors.In an emotional presentation, Redondo Beach Mayor Mike Gin honored Kristina Ripatti with the Key to the City and Cornerstone Construction Group, Inc.'s Vic and Linda Braden and their daughter Stella Braden Rothluebbers with Proclamations at the City Council meeting on Tuesday, November 21, 2006. Cornerstone Construction Group accepted the "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" challenge of completing a new custom home for the Ripatti-Pearce family, compressing a standard nine-month construction schedule into one week. They were then responsible for finding the team of builders, contractors and tradesmen to make the family's dream a reality. Beckett & Beckett, Inc. and ShareFest were also recognized by Mayor Gin with Proclamations for their efforts. Beckett & Beckett was responsible for all public relations activities and ShareFest oversaw all volunteer interactions. Along with Cornerstone Construction Group they were the Lead Benefactors associated with the project. Additional awards included an inspirational speech by Councilwoman Janice Hahn, whose District 15 includes the area where Kristina and Tim serve, and Senator Debra Bowen's office presentation of Certificates of Recognition to the three Lead Benefactors. During a recess of the City Council meeting, Mayor Gin presented Proclamations to 33 major donors involved with the build: Douglas Leach, Architect Abdy Parsa Hawthorne Electric Supply Co.
